HADO Shiosai is a series made from rust-resistant SPG2 powder steel, clad in softer stainless steel. SPG2 provides a thin, sharp edge with good edge retention while remaining relatively easy to maintain.

The name Shiosai roughly translates to "the sound of the tide". This is reflected in the blade’s hammered tsuchime finish, with a pattern inspired by waves and splashing water. The blades feature a high, flat grind that provides a smooth cut with very little friction through ingredients. The spine and heel are rounded and polished for a comfortable grip.

Shiosai combines excellent cutting performance with rust-resistant steel and HADO’s high level of fit and finish. An easy-to-maintain series with a distinctive look and excellent cutting characteristics.
